# Planet Dendrys

While there are 100 octagonal moons, there is only one planet in the Orchid Hunter’s Universe.

Dendrys is barren except for one last city. The city is divided into eight zones, each one representing one of the eight terrains.

*Lore: For millennia, the Dendrysia flourished as their planet was rich in natural resources. The rich soil and nutrient filled water helped the native orchids to thrive and evolve into millions of species. Orchids are a staple of the Dendrysia diet as well as their animals. They are cultivated for their medicinal, magical, industrial, and technological properties. But paradise was lost after a recent catastrophic event scorched most of the planet’s surface rendering it sterile and uninhabitable. The eight clans came together to establish Dendrys City and from there send out colonization parties to its 100 moons.*

Dendrys City is the arrival location for all would be orchid hunters. It is the only location available to free-to-play gamers, until they can save enough to get a novice supply bag. Only petals and common orchids are found on Dendrys. It’s hard to make a living as a newcomer in Dendrys City, so players will usually want to explore the moons for more bountiful opportunities.

Nevertheless, Dendrys City is the heart of the economy and gameplay. It has the largest market, which offers the best deals (usually). Additionally, specialists of various kinds are available to assist the hunters.
