Lands & Terrains

Each moon is divided into two hemispheres: wetlands and drylands. Each hemisphere has four terrains.

The Wetlands

  • SEAS -- Home to the Tolum clan, the SEAS cover the land with occasional islands, archipelagos, and coral reefs popping up. This terrain produces an abundance of SALT and some MANA. A Marine vehicle is required unless the hunter is a very good swimmer.

  • BOGS -- Home to the Phylaxi Clan, these swampy lands are the only terrain where players can find PEAT (useful as both a fertilizer, landscaping, and building material). Skilled hunters can also harvest TAR. Small marine vehicles work best in this terrain.

  • HOT SPRINGS -- Home of the Ipaci Clan. The Hot Springs terrain supports an abundance of mammals and other animals. The Hot Springs are the primary source for MANA and CLAY.

  • RAINFORESTS -- Home of the Vandran Clan. The rainforests teem with life and natural resources such as WOOD, AMBER, and VINES. The birds of the rainforest are fiercely loyal to their trainers.

The Drylands

  • DESERTS -- Home to the Ranchante Clan. The desert terrains can be hot or cold, but in either extreme they have a conspicuous lack of water. A few oases dot the landscape. GLASS beads can be harvested quite easily in desert terrains, and a wheeled vehicle is recommended.

  • MOUNTAINS -- Home of the Ha-Radia Clan. The Mountains and Volcanoes are rich in natural ores such as PLATINUM, COPPER, and IRON. Dragons can be seen circling the Mountains.

  • CANYONS -- Home of the Calyzon Clan. The canyons have some vegetation and animal life. However, they are known as the best places to harvest STONE, MARBLE, and LEATHER.

  • DEADLANDS -- Home of the mysterious Nari Clan. The terrain is dark and does not support much vegetation, though some animal species thrive there. The vapors and wisps of SILK produced by the many varieties of worms and spiders are highly desirable exports. This is the only drylands terrain where hunters can harvest MANA.
